The Burden of Treatment
What do patients experience when being under treatment? What does it mean of having a chronic condition?
Tran et.al conducted in 2015 a qualitative study out of which they created a Taxonomy of the Burden of treatment. This taxonomy are of great help to all health professionals in order to create a higher level of imaginative empathy towards their clients, as well as an obligation for collaboration among health professionals to minimise the burden and even provide substitute care cross professional practices.
